All right, boys and girls... and Tex,

I hope you've all been practicing up on your Tetris skills, because it's time to break up the weekly tedium with that Tetris tournament I promised! I know, I know, don't get too excited. I'll give you guys some more time to polish up, but I'm thinking the 21st will be tournament time. So that's like... a week, almost. Anyone who's participating had better show up in the Rec Room at 1300 next Wednesday and I'll tell you all what the rules are then.

Questions? Comments? I don't really give a fuck, but you guys all know where I hang out most of the time if you really need to find me.

Though, hey, before you guys all show up to poker or whatever we're doing now, we need to have a quick meeting. Tex and I found something really weird on Morpheus, and I think you're all going to want to know about it. Maybe one of you will have some idea what it's about.

You beat me to it, kid, I was thinking a movie night would be great, myself. But hey, I'd be up for anything, really.

Also, you guys know what the best game on the computers is, right? Yeah. Tetris. So you all better get practicing, because in a couple weeks, we're having a Tetris tournament. Winner gets, uh, something. Haven't figured that part out yet. Anyway, it'll be awesome.

"Hey Tex, didja get that flashlight thing the kid made?"
ghost_bullets: (Yeah that sounds pretty cool)

Uh, no thanks, Carter. Not a big fan of cake. Or parties. Well... Not that kind of party.

... If any of you managed to bring a bunch of booze with you when you came here, you'd tell the rest of us, right? Or, more importantly, you'd tell me. I'm pretty sure that's critical operations intelligence, you know. Key to survival and all that.
ghost_bullets: (Oh shut the fuck up)

Robin- ha, ha, very funny.

Tex- coming from you? Thank god.

Everyone else- eh, I didn't want any shitty homemade gifts anyway. I've had enough of those over the years to last me a lifetime. Seriously, if I got one more macaroni picture from Caboose I'd have stabbed him to death with pasta. Which has got to be a really painful way to die.

So, what did you guys all get me for my birthday?

Okay, since it doesn't look like Tex feels like joining in on our little conversation here, yeah, she's from my world too, obviously. We were both stationed at some middle-of-fucking-nowhere outpost called Blood Gulch for a while, me because I'm a Blue and she because she's a mercenary and they must've offered her ten bucks to do it. Word of warning, guys, don't leave anything of value out where she can see it if you want to keep it. Not that anything can really go anywhere here, but, you know. She could hoard it and then kill you when you try and take it back.

Oh yeah, she's from a year behind me, for some reason, but I think that has less to do with this place and more with some fucked-up time travel bullshit thanks to this AI she had with her at the time. Then again, you guys are all from way farther in the past than that, it sounds like.

Anyway, we've all been here, what, two weeks now? I say we all meet in the rec room tonight sometime and talk about what we've done so far so we're all on the same page, and maybe we can figure out what to do next to get off this goddamn rock before we all die of boredom. I'm thinking, 2000 hrs. Which is eight pm for you dumbshits who still haven't figured out a 24-hour clock. That work?

Okay, so supposing you guys actually all are from different universes or whatever. However that works. (Which I still think is bullshit, by the way, but it's not the first time this has happened to me.) You all want to tell me a little about yourselves and your worlds? Maybe there's some kind of pattern. I mean, this place is obviously set up so it can hold more people, but it looks like we're it. So what's unique about us?

It looks like this thing only allows read-only files, but maybe you guys can just write new entries on your own if you want to reply. Which you should. So we can figure stuff out.

I guess I'll go first. The year's 2554, and although I personally am from Earth, we've got a bunch of colonies on other planets in other solar systems. We had more, but these aliens called the Covenant all got together and decided humans were a bunch of heretics or something, and bombed a bunch. The war started almost exactly thirty years ago, after decades of civil war between the outer colonies and everybody else, and it only just ended last year, so yeah, basically, humanity has been at risk of extinction for practically my whole life. Kind of sucks. But we won eventually.

Uh, I don't know what else there is to say. If you're reading this, it's your turn.

What's this about group meals, now?
